Day 2 – Keeping On Track

Made it through Day 1 and ate/drank responsibly.  Not as bad as I thought, just have to keep focused on my goal.  Really like setting a schedule, which I have been very lax about doing.  This morning, up and out with the dogs on a walk today, using the Map My Run app on my phone.  Did not know that it tells you when you reach each mile, along with your time and average mile rate.  JJ and Sadie have this need to stop and take care of “business”, or get tangled in their leash – slows me down a little, but once I heard the “voice”, it helped me to focus on moving faster.  Plus what I thought was 3 miles is actually 3.25 – that was nice to find out.  IMG_0312Here are our two girls!  JJ is the Shepherd/Lab mix (90+ pounds of love) and Sadie, a terrier and ??? – our youngest at almost a year old.

Bill Wesnousky, a Facebook friend, recommended myfitnesspal.com – thank you Bill!  Cool website to track your physical activity and calories.  Challenging to figure out calories on my homemade food, which is most of what we eat, but will figure it out as I go along and estimate when it takes too much time.

Tempted to weigh myself but think I should do that before I eat….so too late today.  Not sure if I should but will be curious! Another day and hope to stay focused….send me your positive energy!
